Fox47 is proud to support the 2021 Polar Plunge and the Special Olympics of Wisconsin
This year's Polar Plunge will look a little different. Due to the pandemic, the Special Olympics of Wisconsin will be offering supporters and frozen fundraisers four safe ways to participate in their premiere winter fundraiser.
Option 1 is The Great Outdoors, include 'plunging' down a ski hill in a tube or sled, snowshoeing and more. Fox47 is proud to support The Great Outdoors location on Saturday, February 13 at Tyrol Basin!
Option 2 is Chillin' at Home, allows participants to get creative by doing a DIY Polar Plunge then enjoying a curated cozy kit full of goodies.
You can complete your at-home Plunge whenever and however you like! Creativity is key!
Here are some ideas to you get started!
Add a bucket of ice water to your favorite TikTok dance
Take the Plunge into a bathtub full of ice
Take a kiddie pool Plunge in your backyard
Dump an iced beverage from your favorite coffee shop on your head
Swimsuit snow angels
Winter water balloon fight
Your best idea here!
Option 3 is Cool Schools, with students can virtually hang out with friends by forming teams, holding competitions and having fun in the spirit of inclusion.
Option 4 is Support an Adventurer, allows fans to support Polar Plunge participants while making a difference in the lives of children and adults wiht intellectual disabilities.
Regardless of the adventure path, funds raised from the Polar Plunge makes a year-long impact to Special Olympics.
