LAKE DELTON, Wis. - The suspect in a Lake Delton gas station robbery has been identified and was arrested in Rock County, police said.

Officers responded Jan. 4 to the Dells Quick Mart at 152 West Munroe Avenue just after 7 a.m. after receiving a report of a robbery. The robber was gone when officers arrived, but surveillance video shows him coming in the front door and demanding money from the clerk.

After receiving some tips, Sauk County officials found the suspect’s vehicle in Rock County, according to a release.

Officers executed a search warrant for the vehicle and recovered evidence from the robbery, officials said. The suspect, 50-year-old Wesley Utterberg, was arrested.

He was arrested on unrelated charges in Rock County, according to the release. Once he is released, Lake Delton police will take custody of him and book him into the Sauk County Jail on a tentative charge of robbery.
