DARLINGTON, Wis. - The flooding in Darlington is expected to be the worst since 1993, according to city officials.
Photos posted by the Darlington Police Department show several roads in downtown Darlington underwater.
Officials said if the river keeps rising as it is, the flooding will end up being the worst the city has had since 1993.
The major flood stage in Darlington is 16 feet, according to police. Officials expect the river to rise above the 16-foot mark Thursday.
In 1993, the flood was at 18.22 feet, officials said.
“We don’t think things will get that bad,” officials said in their Facebook post.
This is the third flood the city of Darlington has had in the last year, according to the post.
