SUN PRAIRIE, Wis. - Former Wisconsin Badgers football star JJ Watt donated $10,000 to the family of the firefighter who died in a Sun Prairie explosion, according to a log of donations on the GoFundMe page.

Among the pouring in of donations from members of the community, a single donation from Justin Watt covered the majority of the $15,000 goal.

But Watt was not the only one to support the Barr family. As of 6 p.m. Wednesday, the Barr family had raised more than $45,000, tripling their goal.

Watt has not publicly acknowledged the donation on social media or responded to a request from News 3 for confirmation of his donation.
