WAUSAU, Wis. - Two men will face charges in connection with a deadly shooting outside a Madison gas station last week, according to a report.
Madison police said 35-year-old Dametrius A. Reeves was being held Friday in Indianapolis on an arrest warrant.
Curtis Langlois, 37, of Wausau, is accused of robbing the Family Video on Aug. 2 and Fast Break Mobile on Aug. 7, both at gunpoint.
WSAW-TV reported that court documents say Langlois confessed to shooting two men at the 7-Eleven on the West Beltline Highway early on Aug. 2. Kendrith J. Young, 32, of Waukesha, was shot and died at the scene. Another man, a 29-year-old from Madison who suffered gunshot wounds below his waist, survived.
After surveillance images from the Wausau robberies were released, police received a tip that led them to Langlois's apartment. Police said he was in possession of a significant amount of cash and clothing linking Langlois to the gas station robbery, according to the WSAW report.
Langlois was taken to the Marathon County Jail.
Madison police said Reeves and Langlois will be extradited to Madison and referred to the Dane County District Attorney's Office on a charge of first-degree intentional homicide in Young's death and attempted homicide in the shooting of the man who survived.
