JANESVILLE, Wis. - More than 100 jobs are coming to Janesville, thanks to a pet food plant that broke ground on Thursday.

The plant will take around six months to complete, but when it's done, Naturpak Pet will use the 160,000-square-foot space to produce and package a type of dog food.

The investment totals nearly $20 million, said Bill Mears, of Coldwell Banker Commercial McGuire Mears and Associates. Mears says now, the challenge will be finding a place for the workers to live.

"That's been the side effect, if you will, of all this development," Mears said. "Folks need a place to live, and we've got to get busy with that as well."

Janesville's Angus Young and Associates will be the architect for the project.
