Public can help Dodge County coaches become MVCs

MADISON, Wis. - Two coaches from Dodge County could soon be named Most Valuable Coach by U.S. Cellular.

Beaver Dam High School Girls varsity basketball coach Tim Chase and Dodgeland School District track and cross country coach Kevin Klueger have made the final 15 candidates in U.S. Cellular's Most Valuable Coach Program.

Each of the final 15 coaches will receive a $5,000 donation for their school and attend a ceremony in their honor. U.S. Cellular will also produce a video highlighting their work.

Voting now begins to narrow the field to three coaches. The public can vote on their favorite coach by going to until midnight Nov. 13. The winners will be announced Nov. 20.

The final three winning coaches will receive a donation of $50,000, $20,000 and $10,000 to help their schools.

The first-place coach will also be given a prize package worth over $30,000 for their school.

A panel of judges, including Green Bay Packers wide receiver Randall Cobb and WNBA All-Star Maya Moore, are voting alongside the public. The judges determine their favorite based on the impact coaches have on their players, school and city, as well as their leadership qualities.
