JANESVILLE, Wis. - The Rock County Sheriff's Office is asking for help in the form of tips or information that can help them find the person or people responsible for two break-ins over the weekend.

According to the Sheriff's Office Facebook page, the break-ins happened between 4:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on Friday afternoon.

While no one was hurt during the break-ins, burglars used force to enter both homes, which are located just miles apart on the same road.

"I don't know, and still don't know what to think," said a neighbor, who asked to go by "Don." "You've got to keep everything locked up tight, but I don't know if that does any good."

"Don" says he's lived on West Mineral Point in Janesville for three decades, and can't remember something like this happening before.

"People mostly stick to themselves," he said.

Police said they're not certain if the two break-ins are related at this time, but are relying on tips from the community to help their search for a suspect.

The Rock County Sheriff's Office is asking anyone with information to call their nonemergency office line at 608-757-7944 or Janesville Area Crime Stoppers at 608-756-3636.
