Madison police say the chase started when an officer tried to pull over a man wanted for child enticement. But, 58-year-old Richard Kudish refused to stop. He now facces two counts of child enticement and three counts of recklessly endangering safety.
Officers say the chase started around 10 a.m. Saturday. Police say they chased Kudish the wrong way down Packer Ave., and down a bike trail. They say speeds reached 70 miles per hour.
Kudish hit a police car head-on and was eventually stopped when he lost control of his vehicle, swerved, and hit stop sign. He landed on the lawn of a home on the corner of Marston and Johnson.
