MADISON (WMSN) -- Simple tasks - even around the house - can be nearly impossible for people with disabilities. One woman is aiming to make their lives easier, with help from some furry friends as part of a nationwide program.

Through the Canine Assistants Service Dog Program, Brooke Corl shared how she's being paired up with her favorite four-legged friends has helped her. Corl, who is nineteen years old, suffers from a genetic bone condition. Her mother says corl fractures very easily.

Corl says she hopes the service dog will help her do things independently

There's also a program in our area called the Custom Canine Service Dog Academy. Organizers raise and place service dogs for people in need free of charge.
