Madison- The Wisconsin football program is known for churning out NFL quality offensive lineman.  Center Travis Frederick was the Cowboys' first round draft pick this season.  Now his understudy is getting a chance to shine.

Redshirt freshman Dan Voltz gets the starting nod, and it comes with high expectations.  The center position is viewed as the "quarterback of the offensive line," and Voltz welcomes that responsibility.

"I don't see it as pressure.  I see it as an opportunity.  I learned from [Travis Frederick] him last year... It's a tradition here to play center.  I'm just trying to fill in those footsteps and do the best I can.  Especially in this offense, you know I'm making all the calls on the offensive line.  I gotta know everything and make sure the guys are right."
