Indianapolis- The NCAA has dealt an unprecedented blow to the Penn St. football program.  President Mark Emmert handed down one of the most severe punishments in NCAA history on the heels of a child abuse scandal that involved former assistant coach Jerry Sandusky and head coach Joe Paterno:

No postseason games for 4 years; $60 million fine (used to support child abuse awareness & prevention programs); scholarship reduction (from 85 to 65 per year); all wins from 1998-2011 will be vacated; 5 years NCAA probation.

The last official win for Paterno/Penn St. was Nov. 22, 1997 against Wisconsin.  Penn St. was led by quarterback Mike McQueary, who turned out to be a key witness in the sex abuse scandal.
