Minneapolis- Madison native Ryan Suter has a new home and a lot of money.  The former UW Badger signed a 13-year, $98 million deal with the Minnesota Wild.  Coming off an All-Star season (7 goals, 39 assists), Suter was considered one of the top prizes in this free agent class.  Suter spent his first 7 NHL seasons with the Nashville Predators.  He played at Wisconsin in the 2003-'04 season.

The Wild signed former New Jersey Devil Zach Parise to the same contract on the same day.
