RACINE, Wis. -A suspect in a Green Bay homicide was arrested in Kenosha after he allegedly choked and robbed a Racine woman and locked her in a basement, Racine police said.

Green Bay police had been looking for 22-year-old Terry Lee Shepard after identifying him as a suspect in the April 15 shooting death of a 32-year-old man. Shepard is charged with first-degree intentional homicide in that case.

Racine police announced Friday that he had been arrested. He was in the Kenosha County Jail on Saturday on the outstanding homicide warrant. Online court records didn't list a defense attorney for him Saturday.

Authorities said Shepard surfaced last week after chatting online with a 38-year-old Racine woman.

The woman told investigators she invited Shepard to her home Monday, and he tied her up, choked her until she passed out and locked her in the basement.

Police said they developed Shepard as a suspect after processing evidence from the scene. The eventually got word that he was hiding at a Kenosha address, where he was arrested Thursday.
