Alex Hornibrook lands at Florida St.

Hornibrook threw 13 touchdown passes in nine games last season.

Former Wisconsin quarterback Alex Hornibrook has a new home. The left-handed starter will transfer to Florida St. in the spring. Hornibrook will receive his degree from Wisconsin in May, and he will have one year of eligibility remaining as a grad school transfer.

The redshirt junior threw for 1,532 yards and 13 touchdowns in nine games in 2018. Hornibrook suffered a concussion October 20th against Illinois, and he missed three of the last six games of the season. He was 26-6 as a starter, but was plagued by inconsistency last year.

Florida St. kicked former starting quarterback Deondre Francois off the team in February. James Blackman is junior who threw five touchdown passed in limited action last season. Jordan Travis is waiting to hear whether or not he'll be granted a waiver to play immediately after transferring from Louisville.
