Brewers trade for Schoop

The Brewers have acquired infielder Jonathan Schoop from Orioles.

Milwaukee - The Brewers have traded for Orioles second baseman Jonathan Schoop. Milwaukee sends infielder Jonathan Villar and two prospects to Baltimore.

Schoop's hitting .244 with 17 homers and 40 RBIs this season. He's known as a top-level defender who's also spent time at shortstop and third base.

The Brewers have a crowded infield with Schoop, Travis Shaw, Orlando Arica, Jesus Aguilar, Tyler Saladino, and newly-acquired Mike Moustakas.
