Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo leads the Eastern Conference in All-Star voting, the league announced Thursday. He's second in the overall voting behind the Lakers' LeBron James.
It's Giannis' third All-Star appearance. The Greek Freak is averaging 26.3 points, 12.6 rebounds, and 6.1 assists per game this season.
Fan votes count for 50% of the vote that decides the starters for each team. Players and the media will each have a 25% stake in the remaining vote. The top vote-getter in each conference will be named captain, and they'll draft teams from the entire pool of starters and reserves- regardless of conference. This year's draft will be televised, but the details haven't been announced.
Voting ends January 21st. The starters will be announced January 24th, and the reserves will be announced January 31st.
The All-Star game is Sunday, February 17th in Charlotte, NC.
