Harris moved at trade deadline

Harris earned Big Ten Player of the Year and 2nd team all-American honors at Wisconsin.

Dallas - Former Wisconsin star and 14-year NBA veteran is on the move.

The Dallas Mavericks traded Harris to the Denver Nuggets as part of a three-team deal. The Mavericks get forward Doug McDermott from the Knicks, and the Knicks will receive guard Emmanuel Mudiay from the Nuggets.

The timing of the trade was a little awkward for Harris, who was told he was being moved after the team's morning shootaround. ""Sometimes you just got to see the writing on the wall," Harris said. "We were playing our young guys a little bit more trying to bring those guys along. I'm a wily veteran now," he said with a grin. "and sometimes, you just crunch the numbers."

The 34-year old guard was in his second stint with the Mavericks. He's also played for the Nets, Jazz, and Hawks.

Harris played at Wisconsin from 2001-'04, earning Big Ten Player of the Year and 2nd team all-American honors.
