Days after the Marquette men's basketball team got great news, it got bad news. Forwards Sam and Joey Hauser are leaving the program and will transfer to another school. The school made the official announcement Monday morning.
Sam, a junior, averaged 15 points and 7 rebounds per game this season. Joey, a freshman, averaged 10 points and 5 boards. The brothers haven't decided where they will transfer, but Virginia, Michigan St., and Wisconsin are on the short list, according to sources.
Friday, Big East Player of the Year Markus Howard said he was returning to Marquette for his senior season. Howard averaged 25 points per game in 2018-'19.
