Hayes tries to adapt

Hayes is the third all-time leading scorer in Wisconsin history (1,857 pts).

St. Francis, WI- Former Badgers star Nigel Hayes has work to do if he wants to hear his name called at next month's NBA Draft.

Wisconsin's third all-time leading scorer isn't projected to go in either round, but the draft can be unpredictable- especially in the second round. Hayes went to the Draft Combine in Chicago, but he said he prefers individual team workouts because that lets teams get a closer look at his skill set.

Nigel worked out for the Bucks on Tuesday, and he said he needs to work on his adapting his offensive game to the NBA style.

"Playing at Wisconsin, obviously we're... a great school, great program. We show we can win, but Wisconsin's offense is the antithesis of NBA," Hayes said after his workout. "So I have a lot of work to do as far as showing them that I'm from a system like that and then into an NBA open-court system."
