It doesn't matter... yet

Offensive lineman Michael Deiter (#63) says he doesn't pay attention to early playoff rankings.

Madison- The Wisconsin football team found itself ranked 9th in the first College Football Playoff rankings. It'll be an uphill climb to crack the top four, but there are still four regular season games to go- and potentially the Big Ten Championship game.

Badgers offensive lineman Michael Deiter says he doesn't pay attention to the rankings yet. It's not a conscious effort to avoid them, but he says they just don't matter in early November.

"It would be after the Big Ten Championship. That's the only time it would matter. Bowl game time, that's when it will truly matter," Deiter said "I think we have a group of guys that are not going to get caught up in all the playoff noise, stuff like that. It's not time yet. We have Indiana."

Wisconsin (8-0, 5-0) travels to Bloomington to face Indiana (3-5, 0-5 Big Ten) on Saturday. Kick off is set for 11 A.M.)
