Life at 40

Rodgers is entering his 13 season NFL season (all with the Packers).

Green Bay- Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has no plans on slowing down, and he's even planning for the future... sort of. The two-time MVP said he wants to play for the Packers when he's 40.

Rodgers said he's watched athletes in other sports play until 40 and stay with the franchise that drafted them. He wants to try and do the same thing.

"Seeing some of my favorite players growing up finishing up now, or have finished up in the last two or three years. The Derek Jeters, the Kobe Bryants, the Tim Duncans. Doing it their entire career in one place. It's pretty special," Rodgers said. He also knows that 40-year-old quarterbacks are rarely productive, and they rarely spent their entire career with one team. "Again, I'm a realist as well. I have to play well. The team has to want to bring me back. I'd like to finish things here where we started."

Rodgers is entering his 13th season with the Packers.

The subject was raised because Thursday was Patriots' quarterback Tom Brady's 40th birthday.
