Packers end preseason with loss in KC

NFL rosters have to be cut down to 53 by Saturday afternoon.

The Packers capped the preseason with 33-21 loss against the Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium. Green Bay ends the preseason 2-2.

Second-string quarterback DeShone Kizer completed five of seven passes with one touchdown and one interception.

Third-stringer Tim Boyle started hot but finished 15 of 31 with a touchdown and two picks. The Packers are expected to keep both back-ups after trading Brett Hundley this week.

Tight end Robert Tonyan's making a bid for the third tight end spot. The rookie from Indiana St. had four catches for 31 yards and a score.

Running back Aaron Jones carried six times for 30 yards and a touchdown. He'll miss the first two regular season games while he serves a suspension. Aaron Rodgers and a handful of other starters didn't travel with the team.

NFL rosters have to be cut to 53 by Saturday afternoon. The Packers biggest cut will likely come at the receiver position- where they currently have 11 on the roster.
