Green Bay - Packers running back Aaron Jones has been suspended without pay for the first two games of the 2018 season.
Statement from the NFL:
"Aaron Jones of the Green Bay Packers has been suspended without pay for the first two games of the 2018 regular season for violating the NFL Policy and Program for Substances of Abuse. Jones will be eligible to return to the Packers’ active roster on Monday, September 17 following the team’s September 16 game against the Minnesota Vikings. Jones is eligible to participate in all preseason practices and games."
The suspension stems from an October arrest when Jones was eventually charged for driving with a controlled substance in his system, speeding, and driving without a valid license. Jones pled no contest to the controlled substance charge.
A fifth round pick in '17, Jones ran for 448 yards and four touchdowns as a rookie. His most impressive performance came October 8th when he racked up 125 yards during the Packers win in Dallas.
