Pankowski named Kazmaier finalist

Pankowski is a three-time Kazmaier Award finalist.

Wisconsin senior forward Annie Pankowski's one of ten finalists for the Patty Kazmaier Award for the nation's best women's hockey player.

It's the third time Pankowski's been a finalist for hockey's version of the Heisman Trophy. She was also a finalist in 2016 and '17. Hilary Knight (2009, '11, '12) is the only other UW player to be a three-time finalist.

Pankowski leads the Badgers with 37 total points (17 goals, 20 assists). The senior from Laguna Hills, CA is top-ten in school history in goals (85), assists (108), shots on goal (678), and plus/minus (+141).

The list of ten finalists will be narrowed to three, and the winner will be announced March 23rd during the Frozen Four in Hamden, CT.
