Foxborough, MA - Former Wisconsin running back James White has exceptional timing. Fresh off playing the game of his life in Super Bowl LI, the Patriots signed him to a three-year contract extension.
White scored 3 touchdowns in the Pats' 34-28 overtime win over the Falcons, but he lost out on the MVP vote to quarterback Tom Brady.
A fourth-round draft pick in 2014, White's been used as more of a pass-catching threat out of the backfield. He was second on the team with 60 receptions and 5 receiving touchdowns in 2016.
The extension keeps White in New England through the 2020 season.
