CHICAGO — The Green Bay Packers clinched the No. 1 seed in the National Football Conference playoffs with a 35-16 win over the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field on Sunday.

With the sweep of the Bears this season, the Packers (13-3) will have home-field advantage until the Super Bowl, which is scheduled for Feb. 7.

The NFL also has a new playoff format in 2021, welcoming seven teams — not six — from each conference. That means the top seed also receives a first-round bye, so Green Bay won’t play again until the weekend of Jan. 16.

The defending Super Bowl champion, the Kansas City Chiefs, are the top seed in the AFC after going 14-2 in the regular season.
