JANESVILLE, Wis. — Blackhawk Technical College in Janesville is introducing a new vaccine incentive program for the fall semester.
The college said any current student who shows proof of full vaccination status by Oct. 1 will receive $250.
A news release said the program is for fall 2021 enrolled GED, HSED, ELL and credit-seeking BTC students. That includes high school students taking classes at a BTC location.
Students in transcripted credit classes are not eligible for the program, officials said.
The program does, however, apply to BTC employees who are working this fall and actively employed at the time of reimbursement.
Blackhawk Technical College is not requiring vaccinations for students or employees, and said a person’s vaccination status will not be part of a student record or personnel file.
Current students applying for the incentive should bring their vaccination card to the Registration and Records office on Central Campus or the front desks at AMTC or Monroe Campus for verification.
