MONONA, Wis. — All Monona Grove School District employees must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 by the start of December.
The district’s school board met virtually Tuesday night to discuss the requirement and ultimately voted 4-1 in favor.
Employees will be required to submit documentation of their vaccination status by Dec. 1. Anyone who chooses Pfizer’s or Moderna’s two-dose regimen must have both doses by the December deadline.
According to the district’s updated guidance, any new district employees will have 30 days from the time their employment is finalized to get vaccinated and provide documentation.
Any employees who fail to comply with the requirement may face unpaid leave, discipline and/or termination. Accommodations will be made for people with disabilities or religious exemptions.
