MADISON, Wis. — Madison police issued two incident reports Sunday night for two separate robberies near downtown Madison.

The first robbery happened at a Citgo Gas Station in the 3400 block of Milwaukee Street around 5:20 p.m.

Police said a person showed a gun to the clerk and then ran off with money.

Officers said a K-9 track was performed, but they were not able to find the suspect, who police said was a heavy-set man wearing two hoodies, blue jeans and a white surgical mask.

Less than two hours later, police responded to another robbery, this one at a Walgreens in the 2100 block of South Park Street.

The incident report said a man wearing dark clothing and a white surgical mask showed a gun to the clerk and took money from the register.

He later ran off. A K-9 track ended at the intersection of Taft Street at Dane Street.

Police issued the below surveillance photo associated with the second robbery.
