MADISON, Wis. — A woman is arrested and a 4-year-old is injured after a drunk driving crash in Madison.

It happened in the 4800 block of E. Washington Ave. just after midnight Tuesday morning.

Madison police say 21-year-old Karla Chavez hit another vehicle head-on.

Officers said the driver of the victim vehicle possibly had a broken finger, while a 4-year-old passenger had four teeth knocked out. Both of those people were taken to the hospital.

Police said Chavez showed signs of impairment but refused standard field sobriety tests.

She was later taken to the jail and booked for operating while intoxicated.
